Dr. Banerjee is an entrepreneurial senior executive with 25+ years of in-depth experience in the global Life Sciences, Healthcare and Services industry in global operations, strategic management, business development, investments and new ventures creation, M&A and Buy-outs. Pradip has systematically taken Xybion, a pre-clinical R&D data management software company to a broad based software and service company that is Xybion Corporation of today through a series of acquisitions and organic growth. He used Xybion corp. as a platform to acquire Amadeus International in Quebec City Canada in 2009 which added a software platform for Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) followed by acquisitions of Stelex and Vital-Path from GE Healthcare in 2010 which brought Enterprise Asset Management, Enterprise Content management and Validation consulting expertise to Xybion. Prior to acquiring Xybion in 2008, Pradip served as President and CEO of Science Center in Philadelphia focused on creating, incubating, managing and investing in science based new companies. He was the Partner-in-Charge of the pharmaceutical Research & Development unit of Accenture where he created the R&D consulting unit and had grown it to become $100+ million worldwide business.
Pradip has gained extensive life sciences experience through his tenure with Kodak where he served as the head of worldwide New Opportunity Development in Kodak’s pharmaceutical division. He also held various R&D management leadership positions at SmithKline and Abbott Laboratories.
Pradip has deep entrepreneurial roots. He has been involved with various early stage entrepreneurial companies. Co-Founder of Supratek Pharma Inc. - a drug targeting company with an anti-cancer drug in Phase III clinical based in Montreal. He also served as Chairman and CEO of Immumed Technologies – An immunotherapeutic company with a Phase III stage product for preventing transplant rejection, Chairman of the Board of Essential Group - a CRO and a Patient recruitment company, Chairman of the Board of Neuro Diagnostic Devices - a Neuro-Surgical Devices company, Director of Greater Philadelphia Venture Group, Director of University City District, Director of Japan-America Society of Greater Philadelphia.
Dr. Banerjee is currently a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a PhD in Pharmacy from University of Wisconsin- Madison and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
